Could not be happier with the catering - fabulous food, nice presentation and the staff were courteous and helpful.

I'm sure you will get some great referrals from our wedding - guests keep raving about the wonderful food.  Hopefully I'll see you at the Grey Bears annual Christmas Party - Tina and Sharon, fellow employees, were very impressed and expressed interest.

 Thank you very much for all you did for our wedding. We have had many complements on your food. As well as a note from my aunt saying how much she enjoyed her self .Along with Mark and his wait staff it was a breeze, they all were mellow and attentive. It was exactly what we asked for and what we were looking for in a cater. Also more personal Mark Gallagher him self is wonderful and easy going to work with.

Can you say amazing wedding food!!! Most people leave wedding thinking that the food was either mediocre, boring, the typical, or COLD, with Affordable chef services you get the complete opposite.

My husband and I wanted something different than the typical wedding food, so we did stations of various things (mashed potato bar (served in martini glasses), salad bar, pasta bar (served in martini glasses), and prime rib carving bar). This turned out better than I had expected. I was worried there would be lines; there wasn’t, I was worried people would think it’s weird or not get full; everyone left stuffed because they ate more than they needed to because it was so good. The presentation alone with Chef Mark  is top notch. The way our cocktail appetizers were served was beautiful, our tray passed ceremony champagne turned out fabulous, everything…I could go on and on!

You made a wonderful 5oth wedding anniversary even more special, with the terrific food and service you provided today. We attended the celebration of friends we've known for many years and it was a spectacular day. The weather and home setting was gorgeous. Not only were the canapes delicious, bite-sized, and easy to eat while chatting, but the service was outstanding, with each attendee able to enjoy the frequent samplings.

The buffet meal was perfection, beautifully balanced in color, texture, and obviously fresh and high quality. Everyone I talked with expressed their pleasure. Congratulations upon a job well done and for introducing me to your company.

Mark's food was fantastic

We hired Mark in October of 2012 to cater our wedding reception in Santa Cruz and we were very impressed with the quality of service and food from him and his team.

From the beginning we were happy with Mark's willingness to accommodate our needs and specific requests whether it was regarding the menu, the set-up or the equipment. Everything was delivered as promised and the food, set-up, and staff were impeccable. The staff were helpful, punctual and a great addition to our party. Mark's food was fantastic - we are still getting raves from our friends and family about how great the food and how friendly the atmosphere was.

Working with Mark was an experience for me - he is a genuine mix of professional and relaxed. Being a bit of a control freak myself there were times where I would have appreciated additional communication about delivery times, etc. but in the end everything was how I had wanted/hoped it to be. I could not have been more satisfied with the final outcome.

Mark was truly a joy to work with and I plan to use his services again. I recommend Mark and Affordable Chef Services for any special occasion - please consider them! The service and the price cannot be beat. Thank you Mark!   2/13/2013
